The titles of node paths are handy places to embed your site’s keywords.
For example, under ‘Default path pattern’ replace ‘website-design’ with one of your keywords, making sure that any spaces are replaced by dashes.
When choosing keywords, pick words that are short, relevant to the site, and know that the words you pick for the ‘Default path pattern’ are the most important.
Any paths left blank will automatically revert to the default path.
Create a different path name (website-blog instead of website-design for example) when you will wish to have different blocks (like menus) on that page versus other pages (for example I want a list of old blog entries on my sidebar when someone views a blog page, but I don’t want this list to appear on the home page or the newsletter page).
Update URL Aliases and Content
ContentPut a check-mark in the box next to the heading ‘Title’ above the list of pages. This should place a check-mark next to all pages.
Under ‘Update options’ select ‘Update path alias.’
Click the ‘Update’ button.
Read through the list of current content pages.
Click ‘Edit’ under the ‘Operations’ heading to make changes to customize the current pages on the site. Some pages may be fine the way they are. Others need minor modifications or content. You will add pages in a later section. Delete any pages you do not want on your site.
